Bitmoji Is Now Available On Snapchat!

On Tuesday, Snapchat released its latest feature- Bitmoji! Back in March, reports surfaced that Snapchat purchased Bitstrips- maker of Bitmoji, for 100 million dollars. You may remember Bitstrips, it was a craze that swept Facebook a few years back. It allowed users to create cartoon avatars of themselves.

After Tuesdays announcement, Snapchatters hurried to download the app to create their very own Bitmoji of themselves to link to their snap chat accounts. The feature was so popular that it caused the Snapchat app to crash.

The marriage of the two apps was a perfect fit, considering just how popular the use of emoji’s are for snapchatters.  Reports show, Snapchat is seeing more usage with Bitmoji right now than it is with the Memories feature it launched earlier this month.

If you’re late to the party and yet to download the new Bitmoji app to link to your snap chat, then here is how it’s done:

1. Firstly you will need to make sure you have the latest version of Snapchat installed.

2. You will then need to download the Bitmoji app to create your avatar.

3. From within the Snapchat app, you will then need to go into settings to allow access to the Bitmoji application.

4. From there you can add your Bitmoji to your snaps just as you would your normal emojis.
